Helen SCHRAMM

April 17, 2004

Helen Schramm of Chilliwack passed away peacefully at the Extended Care Unit on April 17, 2004 into the presence of her Lord, at the age of 83. She was born on June 2, 1920 in Zentral, Russia.

She will be sadly missed by her three daughters, Margaret (Doyle) David of Abbotsford, Elisabeth (Tom) Pink of Langley, and Agness of Chilliwack; four grandchildren, Nathan, Joshua, Stephanie Pink, and Michael Doyle; and fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.

She was predeceased by two husbands, Arthur Jeckel, September 14, 1958, and Adolf Schramm, November 24, 1989.

Helen was a longtime resident of Chilliwack, and a lifelong member of Chilliwack Alliance Church where she faithfully attended. She will be remembered for her dry sense of humour and lovely singing voice. Music was her life and she could be heard humming in the kitchen or wherever she was. No matter how empty things were, she was grateful for what there was. Mom always saw the positive side of life.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, Apr. 22, 2004 at 10 a.m. from Chilliwack Cemeteries, followed by a Memorial Service at 12 p.m. from Chilliwack Alliance Church, 8700 Young Rd., Chilliwack.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association of Canada.

Many thanks to Dr. Gord Enns, and the nursing staff at Eden Intermediate Care and the Extended Care Unit in Chilliwack.
