Helen Jean ARMBRUSTER (nee Ramey)

June 19, 2003

Helen Jean Armbruster (nee Ramey) passed away on June 19, 2003 at Chilliwack General Hospital at age 74 years. She was born May 22, 1919 in Port Colborne, Ont.

Survived by her husband Arnold; three children, Len, Pam and Ted; two grandchildren, Aaron and Andrew; and three great-grandchildren, Micayleigh, Cameron and Alexander. She is also survived by her brother Robert of Port Colborne, Ont.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, June 26, 2003 at one of the local Kingdom Halls of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Well over 100 people attended.

A family friend and ‘’elder’’ in the Chilliwack West Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses gave a warm and touching memorial talk about Jean’s love for her family, her strong determination in life, her fun-loving spirit and her solid faith and hope in God and the Bible. He spoke of the brave battle with cancer, but more importantly, about her firm belief that death was as Jesus said: ‘’like going to sleep’’ (John 11:11) and that God’s designated time all those in the ‘’memorial tombs’’ will be resurrected to life once again, here on a cleansed, paradise earth to join friends and family (John 5:28, 29). Though safe in God’s perfect memory, she is and will be, sadly missed by family and friends.

Donations can be directed to the worldwide work of Jehovah’s Witnesses through the Watchtower Society of Canada, Box 4100, Halton Hills (Georgetown) Ontario, L7G 4Y4.
