Heather Dawn Sanders (Mansell), after fighting a long, difficult battle with Breast Cancer, departed for her permanent, and peaceful, resting place on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at Langley, B.C. at the tender young age of 56 years. Heather passed away with the same zest that she lived her life.........with Halloween fireworks booming in the skies above Langley.

Heather was born on Saturday, September 29, 1951 at Vancouver, B.C. and is survived by her husband Ted, her mother Marjorie Mansell, her son Doug, her daughter Tricia, their father Mick, her granddaughter Simone, her daughter-in-law Teresa, her brother Ross, his wife Janice, and their children Kristy and Ryan, her brother Brian, his wife Jeannie, and many, many other relatives and close friends.

All are invited to attend a celebration of Heather’s life to be held on Friday, November 23, 2007 at 1:30 P.M. at Chilliwack United Church, 45835 Spadina Ave., Chilliwack. Reverend Weldon Holland will be officiating, and refreshments will be served afterwards. While the passing of a loved one is always filled with sadness, this gathering is intended to be a happy occasion, providing an opportunity for all to share the experiences we have had with Heather. Casual dress is appropriate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Chilliwack Hospice Society, or any charitable organization of your choice.

Heather, and her young family, moved to Chilliwack from Richmond in the early 1980’s. She became very active in the Girl Guide movement, spending many years providing positive influence on the youth of the day.

Following a number of years in a dental office, Heather began a career as an insurance agent, eventually becoming a long-term employee of Envision Financial, where she excelled. She developed an extensive following of loyal, devoted clients, who sought her advice on insurance matters, even after she left her employment for health reasons.

Heather’s bubbly personality created a magnetic charm, instantly attracting people, many of whom became lifelong friends. She occupies a space in the hearts of many, many people, who openly tell you that their lives have been made better through knowing Heather. Thank you for being the special person that you are. We miss you dearly
