Harvey Richard “HR” TROUSIL

July 11, 2005

Harvey Richard Trousil passed away on July 11, 2005 at Chilliwack General Hospital at age 97 years. He was born January 17, 1908 in Farintosh, Alberta. Harvey is survived by his daughter, Ruth and son, Darcy (Lucille), 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. HR was predeceased by Helen, his wife of 711/2 years, his parents, and nine brothers and sisters.

HR lived his life to the fullest. He started out packing lake fish for shipping, took up grain and animal farming at various times, owned and operated 2 grocery stores and finally retired as a ship-fitter at the shipyards in Victoria. His life spanned an era beginning with the horse and buggy to watching a man walk on the moon. He worked long hours but found time for square -dancing and traveling. His hobbies were many and varied from coin and stamp collecting to making rock jewelry. His spare time often involved hunting and fishing. HR was a “jack of all trades” and “a master of many”. He took great store on family and friends, and was a long time member of the F.O.E. and the Elks. He will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 22, 2005 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home 45865 Hocking Ave Chilliwack; Reverend Tim Rowan officiating.

Our deepest thanks to the Dr’s and staff of the Bradley Centre for their care and support over the years. If family and friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Diabetes Association in HR’s memory.
