Gudrun (Roonie) Hocken passed away on March 7, 2005 in Chilliwack at the age of 83 years. She was born August 13, 1922 in Dickson, Alberta.
Roonie is survived by her sons, Bill (Lola), Jim (Leslie), Charlie (Dorothy), Bruce (Pearl); daughters, Betty (Dale) and Peggy; grandchildren; great grandchildren; sister, Sally Brandt; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 40 years, Frederick Robert Hocken.
Roonie was known for her sense of humour, caring for others, and her generosity toward family and friends. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
A Graveside Inurnment will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. from Chilliwack Cemeteries with a Memorial Tea to follow at 10:30 a.m. from Woodlawn Mt Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave. Chilliwack.
