Grace Jones passed away on November 16, 2004 in Chilliwack at the Waverly Retirement Home Chilliwack. Grace was born in Toronto June 13 1921.
Grace is survived by her loving family four daughters: Donna Cottell (Phil) of Victoria; Elizabeth Mueller (Frank), of Germany; Mary-Ann Siebert (D’Arcy) of Chilliwack and Sonia Gouwenberg (Nick) Surrey; and one son Stuart Jones (Sherry) of Chilliwack. Nine grandchildren Deanna, Sylvia, Kevin, Todd, Jason, Douglas, Megan, Jena and Eric.
She is predeceased by her husband Alfred Jones, Brothers Jack and Danny Taylor and Mitch, her trained assistance dog and beloved.
Grace spent her adult life in Agassiz and Chilliwack. She made many friends with her co-workers and clients in her 17 year as realtor and only retired when her hearing loss interfered. Grace continued to further her education throughout most of her life by taking courses at UCFV and the University of Hawaii. As well as being a life long learner, Grace was an active volunteer in the community. She was a founding member of the Chilliwack Hard of Hearing Association. She also volunteered for the Victim Assistance program at the Chilliwack RCMP.
Grace loved traveling to many European, Asian and Australian countries. Because Grace was such a vibrant person who lead a life rich in experience, the family would like to create a memory book with all of our and your favorite stories of Mom.
Please bring your favorite story of our mom, Grace Jones, and join us on December 11, 2004, at 11 am where we will remember and celebrate Grace Jones’ life at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 8909 Mary St., Chilliwack. Your presence would support and give comfort to the family.
