Grace passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 28th 2009 at Eden Intermediate Care Home at the age of 97 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Ottie in 1970, and her two brothers Leslie and William Bennewith. She will be remembered by her daughter Doreen (Gordon) Cheek, of Williams Lake, BC, 4 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-granddaughters, her three brothers Jim, Stan (Joan), and Gerald (Betty), three sisters Margaret Edmondson, Francis Morrow, and Barbara Ohman, also nieces, nephews and friends.
Grace was from a Pioneer family, born and raised here in Chilliwack.
Graveside Service will be held on Monday, February 2nd 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at the Chilliwack Cemeteries – 10010 Hillcrest Drive. Reception will be held at Henderson’s Tea Room - 45901 Victoria Avenue, Chilliwack. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the BC Heart & Stroke Foundation.
