Gordon Wayne Newby passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004. He was born December 6, 1948.
Gord was a generous man who had a great passion for hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. He loved to be amongst his family and friends. Gord will be sadly missed by his mother, Erna Ferguson, daughters, Yvonne (John) Aleck, Shannon (Tyler) Davis and sons, Gord Newby Jr. and Jeff Newby; grandchildren, Brandon, Jennifer, Jordan, Caitlyn, Lucas, Avery and Sarah; brothers, Gerald and Alan and nephews, Michael (Loesha), Brent, Alex and Christopher, great niece and nephew, Katelin and Jake, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Gord was predeceased by his father, Lloyd Newby; step-father, Walter Ferguson; aunt, Ella Handy and her son Ronnie Handy; uncle, Ed Murphy, aunt, Paula Harris and aunt, Edith Wright.
Funeral Services were held on Monday, Sept. 20, 2004 at the Chilliwack Fish and Game Club, 48685 Chilliwack Lake Rd., Chilliwack.
Gord often mentioned that he felt the Salvation Army was the best organization to donate to. In lieu of flowers, please donate to support the exceptional work the Army undertakes.
