G. Gordon Hutton passed away on April 10, 2009 at Surrey Memorial Hospital at age 88 years. He was born November 7, 1920 in MacLeod, Alberta.
Gordon is survived by his loving wife Phyllis; sons: Richard Hutton of Surrey, BC and Dana Hutton of Calgary, AB; grandchildren: Jason, Nicole and Joshua; sister, Retta DeMeyer, of Pincer Creek, AB; brother, Earle (Jeannette) Hutton, Calgary, AB and several nieces and nephews.
As a young man, Gord enlisted and spent five years overseas during WWII. He was an avid Lion for nearly 40 years who started the “Walk and Knock” Food Drive in the early 90’s. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for over 30 years. Gord will be missed by all who knew him.
A Memorial service will be held on Monday, April 20, 2009 at 2:00 pm from the Sardis Fellowship Baptist Church, 45187 Wells Rd. Chilliwack, BC.
