Gordon Christian Hunter passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at Chilliwack General Hospital at the age of 76 years.
Gordon was born October 8, 1933 in New Westminster, and grew up at Powell and Hawks Streets in Vancouver. He loved to swim, and spent many hours at the Crystal Palace indoor pool.
In the early 50’s he went to work for Riv Tow Straights, where he worked until he retired in 1998.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie; his children David (Julie), Jeffery (Corry) and Theresa (Dan); his grandchildren: Dusty, Karlie, Mariah, David Jr., Beverly, and Bruce; and he will be lovingly remembered by all. Gordon was sadly predeceased by his parents, and one brother.
A Memorial Service and Tea will be held at 3 pm, Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Avenue, Chilliwack, BC, with Tom Green officiating.
Memorial donations in Gordie’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 9136 Young Road, Chilliwack, BC V2P 4R4.
