Gladys Mildred Lapeyre passed away on July 19, 2006 at Chilliwack General Hospital at age 83 years. She was born on May 3, 1923 in Myleen, Alberta. Gladys is survived by her son, Colonel (Ret’d) Jerome “Jay” (Cheryl) Lapeyre, grandchildren, Jason Michael (Kathleen), Lauren Johanna (Iwan), and Jaime Patricia (Adam) and her sister, Edna (Henry) Hedrick. Her husband John “Jack” Lapeyre predeceased her, in August 2005.
Gladys and Jack had been 30 year residents of the Agassiz area and long- time members of the Harrison- Agassiz Friendship House.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at 10:30 am from the Chapel of Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave, Chilliwack, BC.
If family and friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Harrison –Agassiz Friendship House in Gladys’ name.
