Gladys Lucille Voight passed away peacefully, at home in the company of her family on August 27, 2005. Gladys was 82 years of age and a resident of Lister, BC. She was born on Sept. 2, 1922 at Foam Lake, Saskatchewan.
Gladys married James Lenard Voight on August 27, 1949 at the United Church in Sardis, B.C.
She took pride in her work during her life. She enjoyed her flower gardens at home, many hours of cross-stitching, rock collecting and polishing, taking care of her dogs and many other stray animals througout her life. She went out of her way to make sure the local wild doves and hummingbirds were all well fed.
Gladys was predeceased by her husband, James Lenard Voight and she is survived by her children, Murray Dalrymple of Canoe, B.C., Ellen Simpson of Pink Mountain, B.C., Beverley Voight of Cochrane, AB, Gwenda Packer of Sundre, AB, Shelley Voight of Lister, BC, Barbara Maley of St. Albert, AB, 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A private family service will be held for Gladys.
