Gerrit Bosch late of Chilliwack, B.C. passed away in his sleep on October 28, 2005 after fighting Cancer for 14 months at the age of 75. He was born May 13, 1930 in Wierum, Holland.
Gerrit immigrated from Holland, landing at Pier 22 in Halifax on February 14, 1954, unable to speak English. He worked in the GM plant in Oshawa for 9 years and came to B.C. in 1971 from Ontario. He was a good bowler in Chilliwack for the last 10 years, which included going to the Canadian Senior Championships in 2003. He also worked construction for 3 years and was a dairy farmer for 20 years and was an avid pool player.
Gerrit is survived by his wife of 45 years, Margaretha; son, Ike William Bosch and one younger sister, Hieke Van Der Ploeg (Fre) of Holland.
