George Schmoll late of Chilliwack, passed away November 8, 2002 at the age of 82 years. He was born October 30, 1920 in Hindenburg, Germany.
George came to Canada in 1951 and was a hard worker. He moved to Yarrow in 1974 and worked at Guenther Doors until his retirement.
Funeral service was held at the Yarrow Mennonite Brethren Church on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002 at 1:30 pm. Pastor Ron Braun officiated.
Casket bearers were Rainer Schmoll, Brian Johnson, Mike Hornak, Otto Kleis, Bill Pankratz and Hugo Schroeder. Cremation, Valley Crematorium.
George is survived by his wife Ruth; daughter, Marlyn Collins of Vancouver; son, Rainer (Ellie) Schmoll of Surrey; grandchildren: Mandy Collins of Mexico, Brian Johnson of 100 Mile House, Kristina Schmoll of Abbotsford, Mathew Schmoll of Surrey; one brother and one sister in Germany.
