George Davison, late of Chilliwack, B.C. passed away September 5, 2005 at the age of 80. He was born November 15, 1924 in Toronto, Ontario.
George is survived by Joan, his loving wife of 61 years; 5 children: Gail (Rick) Houser; Rick (Theresa); Karen (Glen) Gibbons; Ellen (Brian) Lewis; Sam (Elaine); 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters: Ada (John) Cairns of St. Catherines, Ont.; Joyce Quelch and brother, Grant (Lynda) and many nieces and nephews.
George was a service life member of the American Foundrymen’s Society and was the owner of Hastings Brass Foundry in Vancouver. He was a WWII Veteran and served overseas with the 12th Field Regiment of the Artillery. He had a wonderful tenor voice enjoyed in many operas and musicals throughout the lower mainland.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home on Friday, September 9, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of choice.
