George Frederick Moore, 60-year Mason and Veteran of WW II.
Passed away following a brief illness on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at the Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Fergus, George Moore of Elora in his 83rd year.
Loving husband and friend of Norma (formerly Fretts) nee Bradd. Loved father of Allison MacDonald (Keith) of Halifax and Laurie Moore of Florida. Dear stepfather of Susan Baldwin-Cooper (Ken) of Ottawa and Greg Fretts (Dawn) of Alberta; dearest grandfather of Kimberley and Kieran.
George is survived by a number of nieces and nephews and other family members.
Pre-deceased by his first wife Shirley Kathleen Roy (2006) and his parents Arthur and Susan Moore and dear brother of the late Grace, Robina, Margaret and William.
The family will receive their friends at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home And Chapel, 280 St. David St. S., Fergus, from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Friday, May 29, 2009.
Funeral service will be held at the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 325 St. George Street, Fergus on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. with Rev David Whitecross officiating.
Followed by the interment of the cremated remains at the Elora Cemetery. Remembrances to the Groves Hospital C.T. Scanner would be appreciated by the family.
