Gabrielle Charette went to be with her Lord, peacefully on April 6, 2003 after a long illness. Gabrielle was born January 19, 1920 in St. Claude, Man. to Eugene and Antoinette Robart.
She lived most of her life in Winnipeg, moving to Burnaby in 1972. The last 13 years of her life were spent on an acreage in Chilliwack where she loved tending her outdoor fires, picking berries and helping in the garden.
She is predeceased by her husband Alfred (1969); her parents; and her seven sisters.
Left to mourn her are her children, Ruby Harrison, Hazel (Brian) Girdwood, Terry (Jack) Grassick, Charlie (Giselle) Charette, Maurice Charett, Louise (Roger) Gerardy, Louis (Maureen) Charette, Suzanne (Gary) Parberry, and Lorraine (Kenny) Viegas. She is also survived by her only brother Ulric (Margaret) Robart of Winnipeg, Man.; 28 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews in Canada and the U.S.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at First Avenue Christian Assembly in Chilliwack on April 11, 2003 at 1 p.m. Pastor Elmer Martin officiating.
