Frederick FRANKS

Fred Franks, precious and beloved husband of Agnes, passed away at the Chilliwack General Hospital on November 14, 2003, at the age of 75, after a five-year battle with cancer.

Fred is survived by his wife Agnes, of 52 years; their three children, Gale (Rick) Junker of Nanaimo, Gerry (Loyd) Neufeld of Cultus Lake, and Robert of Surrey; his two loving grandchildren, Angie (Rod) Bate, and Lori Neufeld; two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Avery, who were his pride and joy; and three brothers, Rudy (Shirley), Art (Margaret), and Ervin (Joan).

Fred was born in Canora, Sask. on May 31, 1928.

He is predeceased by his brother Edward; and mother and father, Martha and August Frank.

Fred grew up on the farm in Chilliwack and later became employed by Dairyland Foods where he worked for 44 years. He loved his church family and was an avid outdoorsman all his life.

Fred’s quiet manner, kindness and warm smile will be a lasting legacy for all the people he touched.

The entire family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Esmail for his kind caring manner and the special nursing staff on Unit 4 who provided extra care and comfort for Dad, and to our family.

A Celebration of Fred’s lIfe will be held at the Chilliwack Alliance Church on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003 at 1 p.m.
