In loving memory of a dear husband, father and grandfather, Fred Trauter who went home to glory on Monday, December 19, 2005 at Chilliwack General Hospital at age 85 years. He was born March 19, 1920 in Sceptre, Saskatchewan. Fred is survived by Sarah, his wife of 54 years; daughters Gail Crocker of 100 Mile House, BC, Sharon Wilson of Ellensburg WA; son, Wayne of Calgary, AB; 8 grandchildren; 2 brothers and 2 sisters
Fred grew up in Saskatchewan and “after a few years in the Army”, farmed with his brother. He married Sarah in 1951 and raised a family near Macrorie, Sask. After retiring, they stayed a short while in Alberta, before making their final home in Chilliwack. Fred was a very quiet man, devoted to his family and his Lord. One of his greatest joys was working in his shop where he met and mastered many challenges. He loved to learn and spent many hours on his computer. Most of all- he loved God and spent a lot of time reading his Bible. He has left his family a Godly heritage and he will be dearly missed.
