Frank Gustav Lau late of Birchwood Retirement Home passed away October 22, 2003 in Glenwood Extended Care at the age of 92. He was born July 8, 1911 in Konigsberg, Germany and had lived in this area for 49 years.
Franz emigrated to Chilliwack in 1954 with his family. He was a member of the Chilliwack Baptist Church. Before his retirement he worked at Fraser Valley Frosted Foods. He became a Canadian Citizen in 1975. Franz was a dedicated family man and loved to see his great grandchildren come to visit.
A funeral service will be held at the Chilliwack Baptist Church on Thursday, October 23, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. Interment at Oddfellows Cemetery.
Casket Bearers: Roland Judas, Walter Judas, Gary Lau, Don Davies, Roger Grover and Daniel Judas.
He is survived by his son Siegfried (Wendy); daughter Erika (Ernst), son-in-law Konrad Judas, sister-in-law Lilly Schulz, 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Adina Lau in March 1998, daughter Hildegard Judas in Sept. 1995 and daughter Gisela Wasyk in May, 1990.
