"Frank"
Francis James Jamieson passed away on March 9, 2010 at Chilliwack General Hospital at age 71.
He was born October 18, 1938 in McAuley, Manitoba.
Frank is survived by his son James, daughter-in-law Janice, and his grandchildren Todd, Colin, and Brenden. Also survived by his friend and companion Betty Schindle. Also left behind are siblings: Garnet, Ruth Gray, Jean Fowler, Joyce Fowler, Ellen Poole, Edna Machnaik, and many caring friends. He was predeceased by his parents Ivan and Bessie, brothers: Keith (Red), Ken and Owen, and by his loving wife, Fran.
Frank grew up in McAuley. He joined the Navy in 1957 and was released in 1962. He met and married Fran. Frank owned an appliance service business in Winnipeg, then in Chilliwack. After retirement, he developed an active social life. Frank was president of the Sardis Kiwanis Club for two years, was an active member of the curling club, volunteered in many ways for many people and was an avid golfer. He had a great zest for life and brought joy to all around him.
Frank will be very sadly missed by very many people.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 28, 2010 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at the Chilliwack Curling Club. Memorial donations may be made to any charity of choice.
