Flavia (nee Linton) ARSENAULT

Flavia Arsenault, resident of the Bradley Center, Chilliwack General Hospital, formerly of South Burnaby, passed away November 26, 2005. Born in Pierson, MB, she moved with her parents to Mortlach, SK and finally to Eyebrow, SK, where her parents homesteaded. She was one of a family of seven.

She attended elementary school in Eyebrow and then went to Moose Jaw to attend high school. At the age of 17, she went into nurses training and in 1923, graduated from Regina General Hospital. She continued to nurse until 1960.

Flavia married Alphee Arsenault of Regina in April of 1936. The couple lived in Burnaby until 1978 when they moved to Chilliwack. Flavia was a member of West Burnaby United Church while residing there. In Chilliwack, Flavia attended the Chilliwack Senior Citizens Group and Chilliwack Alliance Church. She enjoyed traveling and playing bridge. She had been a resident of Parkholm Lodge and the Bradley Centre since 1996.

Flavia was predeceased by her husband, Alphee in July 1988. She will be very sadly missed and fondly remembered by her daughter Andrea (Graeme) Pow, Chilliwack; three grandchildren, Brenda (James) Johnson, Bruce (Kris) Pow and Blake (Wendy )Pow; great grandchildren, Dylan and Monique Johnson, Kodi and Conner Pow.

Memorial Services will be held on Monday, December 5th, 2005 at 10:00 am at Chilliwack Alliance Church 8700 Young Rd. Chilliwack, Pastor Harald Throness and Pastor Brian Derksen officiating. Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Burnaby.
