Evelyn Mae Whitmore was born April 3, 1935, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2009 at the age of 74 at Cascade Hospice in Chilliwack, BC, from cancer.
She was predeceased by her husband George Whitmore; sister, Faith Bonthron (Watson), and brother Charles Watson. Evelyn is survived by her sisters Eleanor Webb, Florence Luck and Jeannette. As well as her sons, Dean, Ed (Laurie), Jamie (Holly), Kevin; her daughters: Hope (John) Gayle (Rick) and Holly; and many nieces and nephews.
Evelyn is also survived by her grandchildren, Marie (Chris) Kyle, Karl, Natalie, Gary, Carrie, Clay, Jesse and Nicholas.
God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not meant to be
So he put his arms around you
And whispered come to me.
With tearful eyes we watched you
As we saw you pass away
Although we loved you deeply
We could not make you stay.
Your golden heart stopped beating
Hard working hands at rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.
