(June 19, 1916 - June 22, 2006)
Eva Worthington, late of The Waverly, Chilliwack, BC, passed away peacefully just four days past her 90th birthday.
She was born and raised in Vancouver and after marrying Hugh John Worthington moved to Squamish where they ran the Squamish Stage Lines. Eva was an active member in the Ladies of the Eastern Star.
After Jack retired, they moved to Sechelt where Eva enjoyed bowling, curling and fishing on the open waters.
Following Jack’s death, Eva moved to Chilliwack to be closer to her family. She is survived by her sister, Lily Shewchuk of Chilliwack; niece, Patricia Reimer and Linda Stacoski; great nieces, Debra Cross, Sheri Heal, Shannon and Carie Stacoski; and great-great-nieces, Adrian and Alana Cross and Kristen Stacoski.
Eva’s family would like to acknowledge the staff and adminstration at The Waverly for their kindess and excellent care. At her request there will be no formal service. Following creamtion, Eva will be laid to rest at Little Mountain Cemetary.
