Esther passed away at the Chilliwack General Hospital on September 3, 2007, age 89. She was born on June 23, 1918, in Kelfield, Saskatchewan.
She will be missed by her loving family: daughter, Donna Hiebert, sons: Lyle (Marjorie Ann) Cross and Wally Cross, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Esther came to Chilliwack in 1982 from North Vancouver, BC. After she retired as a Dietician at the Lion’s Gate Hospital, North Vancouver, she volunteered at the extended care unit at the Chilliwack General Hospital. She used to make beautiful wedding cakes, and loved to do crossword puzzles.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 8th at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home. Elder Tom Beer and Elder Fred Robbins officiating.
