Ervin Mertke, late of Chilliwack, B.C. passed away Sept. 4, 2006 at the age of 76. He was born April 7, 1930 in Leduc, Alberta.
Ervin attended the First Avenue Christian Assembly. He rode motorcycles and travelled extensively in the U.S. and was always proud to join his son and four grandsons on a motorcycle ride.
Visitation will be held at Henderson’s Funeral Home on Sunday, September 10, 2006 at 7:30 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 11, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. at the First Avenue Christian Assembly. Dr. Charles Coats and Pastor Elmer Martin officiating.
A private family interment preceded the funeral service.
Ervin is survived by his wife, Marlene; son, Lyle (Pearl); 4 grandsons: Landon, Cameron, Darron and Jason all of Chilliwack; and sister, Linda (Lawrence) Glesman of Leduc, Alberta.
He was predeceased by his parents and three siblings.
