Eric Alan John WARNER

November 10, 2012

July 16, 1966 - November 10, 2012

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Eric Alan John Warner. He passed away peacefully at Cascade Hospice after a brief but courageous battle against cancer.

Eric was a dedicated family man. Left to mourn his passing are his loving wife Lorraine; his beautiful children Katerra and Braden; his parents Alan and Diane; sister Patricia (Len); nephews Bailey and Landon (Jenny); niece Riley; parents-in-law Allan and Patricia; brother-in-law David (Kristi); as well as many cousins and extended family.

Eric enjoyed all things in the outdoors – fishing, camping, rodeos, puttering on his property or riding his quad. However, his favourite activities usually revolved around his children. He loved to watch Katerra barrel race and play soccer, and even up to his last few days of life could be found in the rink watching Braden play hockey. He was so proud of his kids!

Eric was a generous friend. He would often volunteer to help a friend with a project – putting their needs before his own. Eric enjoyed his motorsports and had a successful career driving a demolition derby car in many Hope Brigade Days events.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Bull and the rest of the palliative care team, the wonderful staff at Cascade Hospice as well as the caring nurses on the 3rd floor of Chilliwack Hospital.

A celebration of Eric’s life will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2012 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the clubhouse at Rainbow Estates at 9055 Ashwell, Rd, Chilliwack. Eric wished for casual attire as he hated dressing up and we ask that everybody attending wear something blue – his favourite colour. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the BC Cancer Society or the BC Children’s Hospital – two causes close to Eric’s heart.
