September 15, 1926 - February 22, 2024
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Emmanuel Joseph Delorme (Manny). He died peacefully in his home in Chilliwack, B.C. on February 22, 2024 at the age of 97 years young. He was born on September 15, 1926 in St. Boniface, Manitoba and was predeceased by his parents and 8 siblings.
He is survived by his sister Connie, his three daughters; Elaine, Claudette and Shelley. Grandchildren; Jeffery and Michelle, Great Grandchildren; Maddac, Ferris and Madison and a large extended family.
He was very proud of his Metis Heritage. His Great Grandfather Pierre Delorme was a farmer and businessman who became a close ally of Louis Riel. He held many political positions including being the first M.P. for Provencher, Manitoba in 1870.
Emmanuel was a Journeyman Ironworker for over 40 years. A competitive athlete, a generous & trusted friend. A skilled dance partner and loving father.
He shared his warm smile, wonderful sense of humor and his love for Life with everyone he met!
We would especially like to recognize all his friends including those at Anavets, his Golf Club and especially the Chilliwack Curling Club where he spent much of his time.
A Celebration of Life is being held at the Chilliwack Curling Club on June 8, 2024 from 1 - 4pm for all family and friends.
