It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Emily Lynn (Green) Gowan, in her 101st year, on May 4, 2008 at the Chilliwack Hospital. She was a much-loved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Charles Donald Gowan, in 1979.
Lynn is survived by her daughters: Marilyn (Drew) Young of Chilliwack, Donna (Ian) MacDonald of Vancouver, and Pat Lockey of Calgary; grandchildren: Cathy Tinnion, Sharon (Ross) Pritchard, Bryan Young, Donald (Karolyn) Young, David Young, Robert and Phillip Lockey (their father Gerald Lockey, Calgary); and great-grandchildren: Jamie and Lindsay Tinnion, Daryl and Andrew Pritchard, and Mackenzie Young.
Lynn was the eldest and last surviving child of Walter Carey and Margaret (Mee) Green of North Vancouver and Pemberton, B.C. During her life, she also resided in Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary, and latterly, Chilliwack.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at Hamilton-Harron Funeral Home, 5390 Fraser Street, Vancouver.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Chilliwack Hospice Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
