“Elsie”
Elspeth “Elsie” Joy passed away peacefully on September 12, 2009 at Chilliwack General Hospital at the age of 83 years. Elsie was born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.
Elsie and Ken were long time residents of Burnaby, moving to Chilliwack following Ken’s retirement in 1985. They had recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary. Elsie will be remembered for her commitments to the Lions’ Ladies of New Westminster and the Burnabettes at which she held the position of Past President for both organizations.
Elsie is survived by her husband Ken; son Mike (Ruth) and daughter, Seon; grandchildren, Angela, Shardae, Darcy and Kendra; brothers Jim and Bill (Dorothy) Preston; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Isabella and William Preston.
There will be no service by request.
