It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Elsie on January 21st, 2010 at Chilliwack General hospital. Elsie was born in Drumheller, Alberta on July 27th, 1921.
As a young girl her family moved to Calgary where she attended school and met Walter E.A. Brown. They were married there and raised three children until moving to Vancouver. Elsie was predeceased by her husband Walter in 1964. Elsie later married Gerald Jardine until his passing in 1971. Elsie was also predeceased by her brother Jack and her sisters Edith, Melba and Bertha. Elsie is survived by her brother Harold (Cathy), brother in-law Jack (Georgia), sister in-law Muriel, her son Walter (Judy), daughters Barbara (Tony) and Donna, grandson Wade (Michelle), granddaughters Heather (Mike) and Marcia (Chris), and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Elsie was a member of OES North Star Chapter 34 and past-president of Vancouver Kiwassa. Elsie loved to drive around in her little red convertible (top down) and spend time at her cottage where the doors were open to everyone. Elsie will be missed by her family and friends.
No service will be held at Elsie’s request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
