1916-2006
Elsie Duncan, late of Chilliwack passed away August 31, 2006 at the age of 90. She was born in Yorkshire, England on July 31, 1916 and immigrated to Canada in 1964 to settle in Pointe Claire, Montreal.
Elsie returned to her beloved England in 1984 before finally returning to Canada in 2002 to settle in Chilliwack, B.C.
Elsie is survived by her brother, Jack (Shielah) and sister, Margaret, in England; her children; Margaret (Joe) in Georgia, USA, Stephen (Christine) in Chilliwack, B.C. and Jack (Irene) in Toronto, Ontario. Also survived by grandchildren; Paul (Diana), Richard (Tracy), Mark (Dani), Jenny (Nick), Diane (John), Janice (Norman), Julie (John) and Kate; great grandchildren; Kristen (Ben), Joey, Michael, Sean, Sarah-Catherine, Tyson, James, Emma; nephews, nieces and many, many friends.
A Memorial Service was held at Henderson’s Funeral Home, Chilliwack, B.C. on September 5, 2006.
The family would like to extend their most sincere thanks to the staff of Chilliwack General Hospital and the Glenwood Nursing Home, Agassiz for the kind and professional care that made Elsie so much more comfortable in her final days.
