Elin Linnea Bradley died September 11,2007, at Chilliwack General Hospital after a lengthy illness with family and friends by her side.
Elin [Helen] was born March 6, 1927, at Grace Hospital in Vancouver, the only child of Karl and Elsie Sund. The family moved to Vedder Crossing in 1930 where she grew up and attended school. She met her husband, Creighton, there, and they were married Dec 20,1947. Many happy hours were spent together on the banks of the Vedder River.
They moved to Chilliwack in 1956, where she enjoyed spending time in her flower garden, sewing, and especially her Poodles and Schnauzers. She had a kind heart and is remembered fondly.
Survived by her loving husband [Creighton] daughter [Janice] son in law [Jim] numerous relatives in Finland, extended family in Saskatchewan, and friends.
A memorial service was held at the family home Saturday, September 15, lead by Pastor Graeme Isbister.
Thanks to Dr Markey and all the others who cared for Elin over the last few years. We extend a special thanks to the nurses on the 3rd floor for their compassionate care in her final days.
