Passed away with his family by his side on July 29, 2008 in Chilliwack General Hospital. He was born in Hamiota, Manitoba on August 31, 1936.
Surviving family includes his loving wife of 52 years Audrey Angus, son Craig (Sylvia) Angus, daughters Cheryl (Barry) Evans and Sharon Remcke; Grandchildren Andrea (Jason) Grant, Dustin Boucher, William Angus and Jessica Angus and great granddaughter Addison Grant, sister Doreen (Cyril) Norrie of Isabella, Manitoba and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Clifford and Eva Angus.
Gus opened his business Gus’s Auto Electric in Brandon, Manitoba in 1969. He then moved to Chilliwack in 1970 and re-opened the same business in Chilliwack, B.C. in 1971 where it currently still operates after 36 years.
Gus enjoyed golf, hockey, baseball and sunshine destinations such as Hawaii and RVing in Yuma, Arizona. At his request, a private family gathering will be held to celebrate his life.
In lieu of flowers donations to BC Cancer Society would be appreciated. The family would like to thank Dr. Bull and the nursing staff at Chilliwack General Hospital for their care and support. We will miss you Pops!
