Eileen (Garvin) MOULTON

March 25, 2008

Born on November 27, 1920 in Vancouver, passed away March 25, 2008 at Simpson Manor in Fort Langley.

Predeceased by husband Norman Moulton, son Roy, and sisters Janet, Isabella and Bethia.

Survived by brother Doug (Donna) Garvin, Chilliwack. Daughters Marilyn Sullivan (Brian Scorer), Nanaimo, Barbara McHugh (Gordon), Prince George, Arlene Hallam (Terry) Langley and son Bill Moulton (Isabelle Bouchard) Cuisson Lake; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario.

Mom was devoted to and very proud of her children and grandchildren and sup­ported them in all their accomplishments.

Mom had a beautiful singing voice and sang in many choirs and also at weddings throughout the province. She belonged to WAAS during the war where she met Dad at a dance at Boundary Bay.

Mom was a member of Bethel 1, Past Bethel Guardian of Bethel 35 in Vancouver and Bethel 26 in Prince George of the International Order of Job’s Daughters.

Mom was a Past Matron and very proud in being a Life Member of Maple Leaf Chapter #19, Order of the Eastern Star. She also belonged to Chapters in Prince George, Williams Lake and Chilliwack as she followed Dad around the province in support of his career.

The family gives a heartfelt thank you to the caring and loving staff of Simpson Manor for the care that was given to Mom. Thank you Dr. Cooper.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Memorial Funeral Home at 602 Kingsway, Vancouver.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Maple Leaf Chapter #19, Order of the Eastern Star for the “Cancer Dressing Project”, c/o Secretary, #901, 3083 NE Kent Avenue, Vancouver, BC V5S 4R2 or donations may be made to the Grand Guardian Council, Job’s Daughters International for the “Garvin Family Bursary”, c/o Grand Secretary, #315, 220 Newport Drive, Port Moody, BC V3H 5B8.
