Edwin Robert Butz passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2005 at Chilliwack General Hospital at age 72 years. He was born January 18, 1933 in Southey, Saskatchewan. Ed is survived by his wife, Johanna; daughter, Deloris (Lorne); son, Gale (Paulette); grandsons, Philip, Michael and Camden; his brother, Raymond (Agnes) and sister, Grace; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. His parents John and Julianna, sisters, Gladys and Lillian, brothers Wilford and Harvey and brothers in law John and Frank; sisters in law, Margaret and June predeceased him.
Ed served in the Royal Canadian Air Force for 21 years and was honourably released. He then worked for 19 years at Canadian Air Lines from which he retired in 1993. Ed was a member of the # 284 Steveston Army, Navy and Air Force Club
Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, May 24,2005 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave, Chilliwack. Pastor Wilmer Kornelson officiating. Viewing for family and friends will begin at 1:00 pm.
