Douglas Keith (Slim) Munro passed away on Tuesday, September 4, at 2:20 am at Chilliwack Hospital. Slim is survived by Joanne Munro and his sons Doug and Brad Munro and his sister Laura Kennedy. He was predeceased by his parents, Colin and Helen; sisters Helen and Dorothy; his brothers Ray and Leigh and his nephew Brian.
Slim will be sadly missed by all his family, his friends in the Rosedale community and Joanne and the extended “family” at the Coyote Pub. Deepest thanks to the Nurses and staff on the 5th floor and to Dr. Markey. Special thanks to his best friends Bruce and Ron.
A Memorial service will be held on September 15, 2007 at 1:00 pm at the Rosedale United Church; Rev. Neil MacRae officiant. Honorary pall bearers are; Doug Munro, Brad Munro, Bruce Ranger, Ron Perch, Steven Young and David Lunt.
If family and friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Rosedale United Church Memorial Fund or to the BC Cancer Foundation in lieu of flowers.
