Douglas Haig Durling, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 16th 2007, with his loving wife, Catherine of forty-seven years, and his niece, Debbie, by his side.
He was born in Dalhousie, Nova Scotia on November 11th 1919 with his twin brother, Lloyd Foch.
Douglas was predeceased by his parents and all brothers and sisters.
He retired from the Medical Corp, Canadian Forces after twenty years, serving many tours in Europe, the Middle East, and the Korean War. He was a member of the Oddfellows Lodge and Cooke’s Presbyterian Church.
Cremation has taken place through Henderson’s Funeral Home and no service was requested.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Fitzpatrick, friends and neighbours, and the staff at the Chilliwack Hospital for their kind and caring assistance.
