Passed away peacefully in her sleep at home, Saturday, May 28th, 2005. She was born in Gronard, Alberta, March 7th, 1925 and has lived in Chilliwack for 52 years. We were blessed to share her 80th birthday this year.
Dorothy was predeceased in August 2000 by her husband Danny.
She is survived and will be greatly missed by her 4 children, Frank (Ruth) Wood, Donna (nee Wood) and Ed Strohmaier, Patrick Wood, Nancy (nee Wood) and Roger Massicotte; 8 grandchildren, Cindy, April, Marty, Kevin, Tara, Brytton, Bodi and Ty; 3 great grandchildren, Nicole, Desiree and Logan; 2 sisters, Ruth and Pearl; and brother, Harold.
Dorothy was a loving mother and grandmother. Her last years were focused on spending time with her family and enjoying her grandchildren. Dorothy loved to be taken for drives in the country and going out for dinner. She like watching movies, country music and eating soft ice cream cones.
God has taken her now and we find peace that she is in the arms for safe keeping. Funeral mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 8909 Mary Street, Chilliwack, B.C., Thursday, June 2, 2005 at 11:00am. Refreshments following at the church hall.
