Dorothy May PICKFORD

Dorothy May Pickford late of Chilliwack, B.C., formerly of Moose Jaw, Sask., passed away March 4, 2004 in Chilliwack, B.C. at the age of 87 years. She had lived in this area for 4 years.

“Dot” was the long standing Business Accountant of Kresges in Moose Jaw, as well as a hair dresser, aircraft mechanic and accounting assistant. She was the co-founder of the “Pic-A-Dot” Round Dance Club, St. Andrew’s “Buttons-n-Bows” square dance club and instructor at several local clubs, National and International Dance Conventions; a member of St. Andrews Church; Kinettes and Kayettes. She enjoyed golf, bridge, lawn bowling, knitting and ped-a-point.

Cremation, Valley Crematorium, Chilliwack, B.C. A Service of Remembrance will be held March 12, 2004 in Moose Jaw, Sask. Interment of Cremated Remains at Rosedale Cemetery, Moose Jaw, Sask.

Honourary Bearers: Bill Rintou, George Waldenberg, Gord Pritchard, Don Bateman, Maynard Gray, Walter Champion, Chris Van Strien and Jo Johannson.

Dot is survived by her brother, Ernie Thompson of Moose Jaw, Sask., son and daughter-in-law, Kirby and Brenda Pickford of Chilliwack, B.C., grandson, Corey Pickford and fiance’ Rachel Van Dyke of Ottawa, Ont., granddaughter, Tamara Pickford of Ottawa, Ont., grandson, Todd and Karen Pickford of Yarrow, B.C.; nephews, Graham Thompson and Bill & Stephanie Thompson of Saskatoon, Sask., and Bob & Margaret Pickford of Langley, B.C.

On behalf of Dorothy we thank Dr. Cameron Ross, the Chilliwack Home Support Staff, the CGH/ECU Staff, Pastor Brian Wiebe of Promontory Community Church and friends of the Sardis Seniors Carpet Bowling Club.

“Dot” was predeceased by Clarence “Pic” Pickford some 27 years ago.
