Dorothy “Dot” Robins (nee Scheidt) age 72, passed away peacefully at Chilliwack General Hospital on March 22, 2010 with family at her side.

Dorothy, daughter of Lawrence and Elma Scheidt (both predeceased) was born October 24, 1937 in Barrhead, Alberta. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Hugh John; sons Bradley (Donna) of Fort Langley, Scott of Barrhead, AB, Mark (David) of Vancouver, and Patrick (Shala) of Princeton; granddaughter Pia (Chris) of Barrhead, AB and great-granddaughter Savannah; sisters Marjorie Schlosser of Comox and Agnes Turner of Chemainus; and nephews Kirk Turner of Vernon and Craig Turner of Cobble Hill.

Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. Her generosity, hospitality and genuine care extended to everyone she met. Dorothy never refused providing help, particularly to the less fortunate or anyone in need or in distress. We will love and cherish her generous spirit forever.

A special thanks to the Intensive Care Unit at Chilliwack General Hospital (Jayne, Hannah, Selina, Laurel, Kim, Jane, May, Deb, Wendy, Donna, Candice, Marisa, Dianne, Pat and Doctor’s Ezz Fam, Kon Son and Ken Harder) and the Kwantlen First Nation.

Prayers for Dorothy will be held on Friday, March 26, 5:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 8909 Mary Street, Chilliwack BC. A celebration of her life will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 8909 Mary Street, Chilliwack, BC on Saturday, March 27, 11 a.m.
