Dorothy Eileen RAINDAHL

It is with deep sorrow and sadness that the family of Dorothy Eileen Raindahl announce her passing on Sunday, Apr. 3, 2005, at 80 years of age, in the Chilliwack General Hospital.

She is lovingly remembered for her strength of character and devotion to her family by her husband Ole; sons, Dennis of Missassauga, Ont., and Brian of Winnipeg, Man.; daughter-in-law Wendy; grandchildren, Alyssa and Jennifer; sister Shirley Shearing of Fort Erie, Ont., and Jim and their five daughters and grandchildren; sister-in-law Sarah Raindahl of Saskatoon, Sask.; daughter-in-law Andrée Boudreau of Comox, B.C.; extended family and friends, Jerry and Angie Kuhn of Surrey and their children, Melissa and Alex, and Ross Stewart of Chilliwack.

Dorothy was predeceased by her son Gary.

Dorothy was born in Fort Erie, Ont. September 18, 1924 where she grew up and completed her high school education. She had a passion for drawing and painting, a love for animals and enjoyed gardening. From 1943-45 she enlisted with the Air Force (WD) and met Ole and they were married August 25, 1946. They travelled from Trenton, Ont. to Halifax, N.S., to Greenwood, N.S., to Gimli, Man., to Zwiebrucken, Germany, returning to Trenton, Ont., and in 1986 retiring to Chilliwack.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of her Life will be held Friday, Apr. 8, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. in the Banquet Room of The Pantry. Private family service will take place in the future. She will be in our hearts forever.
