Dot Pearson passed away at Cascades Hospice on May 30th, 2012, on her 85th birthday. Dot was born in Kamloops, B.C., but moved to Vancouver at an early age.
She worked at Manson’s Jewellers and Woodwards Department Store before moving to Chilliwack to marry husband Harold, who she met on Cultus Lake in a sinking row boat. They were married for nearly 60 years and he predeceased her in April.
Dot worked at Canada Post before raising her family. Her son Jay was born with a disability and lived under her care at home for an amazing 50 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Jill; her son, Jay; and sister Joan Altar (Vancouver).
No funeral by request.
