Don Hills passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at Chilliwack General Hospital at age 87 years. He was born on September 19, 1916 in Mission.
Don is survived by his wife Beatrice; son Paul (Eleanor); daughter Sherri Cook; grandchildren, Sue (Steve) de Graaf, Lori (Dale) Bachmier, Darlene Cook, Gerald (Niki) Hills, and Doug (Marion) Hills; 11 great-grandchildren; his sister Dee Bingham; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
His brothers, Alfred, Harold and Len, predeceased him.
Don loved deeply. First and foremost, he loved his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. He loved his wife and family with unshakable devotion. He had a love for books, studying and growing a beautiful garden.
A private family graveside will be held at Vedderview Gardens Cemetery. A Celebration of Don’s Life will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2004 at 2 p.m. from Sardis Fellowship Baptist Church, 45187 Wells Rd., Chilliwack. Dr. David Lee officiating.
