(July 2, 1946 - May 1, 2009)

Grieving family members sadly announce that at the young age of 62, Don Reich passed away in his home. He fought a valiant battle against a number of illnesses to which he finally succumbed. We know he is finally at peace.

He will be especially missed by his son Clayton (Kristen) and their children Tristan and Alexis of Winfield, Alberta; daughter, Amanda (David) Luttmann and their sons Zachary and Liam Bell of Sooke, BC; his sisters: June (Fred) Eckert and Gail (Ray) Williamson all of Chilliwack, BC; his friend, Sandra Clarke; Aunt Marion (Peter) Evans of West Vancouver; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Fred and Elsie Reich; his sister, Shirley Reich; and his nephew, Randy Eckert.

Don had a career of Salesmanship, working for many years in each of Edgar’s Men’s Wear, Buchanan Motors, Mertin’s, other car sales establishments, and in his own car brokerage in Chilliwack. He loved fishing, golf, and history, but his greatest joy was in looking forward to being with his children and grandchildren.

Don’s family want to express their thanks to Dr. Paul Basson and other medical staff who gave him respectful medical care in the last two years of his life.

Family and friends will gather at 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 9, 2009 for a Celebration of Life service to be held at Henderson’s Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Assoc., the Heart and Lung Assoc., or Alcoholics Anonymous.
