It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dixie on Dec. 29, 2004. She will be forever missed by her loving husband Gerrit DeVries, her two daughters Sally and Cory DeVries, her dear mother Geraldine Cabel, her father Lawrence Sharkey, her sister Cindy Gard, her five brothers Terry Sharkey, Tom Sharkey, John Sharkey, Doug Cabel, Dennis Cabel, her brothers in-law Doug DeVries, Martin DeVries and her sisters in-law Anneka Locke and Tina Scott.
Dixie developed many relationships and touched many lives throughout the world in her short 47 year journey through life and we are all truly blessed to have known her as a wife, mother, daughter, sister and close friend.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, January 14, 2005 from 7-9 pm at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home 45865 Hocking Ave., Chilliwack, BC. Funeral services will be held at the Agassiz Agriculture Hall on January 15, 2005 at 1:00 PM. Pastor Jim Flom officiating.
