Dennis Clarence HALA

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dennis Hala on February 24, 2007 as a result of a skiing accident.

He was born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan on March 8, 1952. The family moved to Chilliwack in 1953 and Dennis attended school in the Chilliwack area, as well as Sardis Secondary school. He joined the Navy and then completed his high school education and attended UBC. He was employed at Westform Industries for the past 23 years.

His interests included stamp collecting, movies, his Dachschunds and science fiction, especially Star Trek.

He was predeceased by his mother, Claire. Left to mourn his passing are his devoted and loving wife, Debbie; father, Clarence (Hertha), of Chilliwack; sisters, Suzanne Hala, of Calgary, Sylvia (Greg) Peel, of Kamloops and Patti-Lynn (Doug) Dewhirst, of Agassiz and brother-in-law, John Sampson, of Victoria. Also, Debbie’s mother, Louise (John) Matheis; sister, Nancy and brothers, Doug (Sherel) and Wes (Carol).

A celebration of life will be held at the small Forester’s Hall, Vedder Road, Sardis on March 3 at 2:00 p.m.
