David Brian Coomber passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2007 at the Christine Morrison Hospice in Mission at age 72 years. He was born August 18, 1935 in Strood, Kent, England.

David is survived by his wife/companion, Jo-Anne Hostetter, his kids, Kevin Coomber and Marion (Tom) Keeping; grandkids, Sarah Jones, Bryan Gallagher, Trendon and Nathan Keeping and great granddaughter Raya; in England, David’s brother John (Doris) and sister Kathleen (Mick) Preece, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Kathleen and nephew Phillip Reader of England and his wives Roberta and Lois.

After David completed school, he became a plumber’s apprentice (from age 15-20). He then joined the army and served for two years. He emigrated to Kitimat, BC with his first wife Dorothy and two kids in June of 1966. He has been a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 42 years. He was the previous owner of the Wee Leprechaun Pub in Agassiz. David enjoyed playing darts, golfing and traveling.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 22, 2007 at 1:00 pm from the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 32 in Agassiz.
