After a two-and-a-half year courageous fight with cancer Daniel Dale Wutke passed away September 21, 2010 with his family by his side. Dan was born in New Westminster.

He served in the Royal Canadian Navy in the early 60’s, and worked at Imperial Lumber for 32 years. Dan was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 6 for 46 years.

He was the youngest of seven from parents Otto and Nellie.

Dan was predeceased by his brothers Don and Jack and is survived by Ron, Eddy, sister Joy and Ted (Pat).

Dan spent his retirement restoring classic cars, playing snooker and crafting handmade pool cues.

He will be deeply missed by many including his wife of 43 years, Louise; son Dean (Catherine); daughter Janet (Cory); and grandchildren: Zachary and Ewan. A cele–bration of his life will be held at the Cloverdale Legion (17567 57 Avenue, Surrey) on Saturday October 2, 2010 at 11:30 am. Special thanks to Dr. Mark MacKenzie and the caring staff and volunteers at the Cascade Hospice.

In lieu of flowers we are asking friends and family to consider sponsoring his daughter’s fund raising bike ride from Vancouver to Seattle to raise money for Cancer Research. Visit the website: www.conquercancer.ca/goto/fordanwutke
