May 6th, 1920 to October 29th, 2010
Connie passed away at home at the age of ninety years. Born and raised in Penticton, BC. Mom married our Dad, her childhood sweetheart and was proud to stand beside him as the wife and partner of a career military man. Mom raised five children while moving every few years across Canada and Europe. In her younger years, Mom was a talented dancer and operated dancing schools wherever Dad was stationed. By choice, Chilliwack has been her home for the past forty years.
Mom was devoted to her children and leaves to mourn her loss Diane Plotnikoff (Lanny), Donna Malone (James), Suzanne Joly (Kim), Roberta Harwood (Danny) and Marc Harwood (Charlene). Her 10 grandchildren whom she loved dearly Lana Plotnikoff Guthrie (David); Greg Plotnikoff, (Katherine); Joe Sippel (Erin); Krista Desmond (Wayne); Megan Harwood Kelsey (Brad); Ryan Harwood, Justin Harwood, Brandon Keilback and Alyssa and Jordaine Stankey. Mom was so happy to know her great-grandchild Quentin Guthrie and most recently Riley Sippel.
Mom was predeceased by her husband Robert in 1990, her niece Ashlee Joly and her son-in-law Alex Keilback.
We were thrilled to celebrate Mom’s 90th birthday together in May. Mom leaves us a legacy of love that will be with us always.

The family would like to thank Mom’s good friend and neighbour Donna Shannon for her care and help especially in the last few months, and at the time of Mom’s passing. Thank you to Juergen Mebesius as well.
Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, November 4th 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Cemetery at the Chilliwack Cemeteries (leaving Henderson’s Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m.).
